Marlena Rodriguez is a stand up comedian, improviser, and writer who grew up in Connecticut, colleged in Boston, then moved to Chicago in 2011. She is a Second City Comedy Studies alumni, and has trained at the iO Theater in Chicago. Marlena toured with The Second City National Touring Company’s BlueCo, where she performed sketch revues at colleges, theaters, and festivals across the country. In 2014, she worked with BlueCo in a benefit at Lincoln Center called, Leave It To Beavers: A Night With Tina Fey and Friends.

Marlena has been doing stand up since 2011, and has performed at SF Sketchfest, Gilda’s Laughfest, The Lincoln Lodge, Chicago Underground Comedy, Kabin, The Comedy Studio, Doc’s Lab, and more. She also co-founded and produced Double Feature, a short-film & stand up showcase in Chicago with Ian Abramson, Tim Barnes, and Melody Kamali.

Marlena recently released We Have To Move, a web series she wrote with Chicago writer, Daniel Shar, about a couple's nightmarish search for a new apartment. Marlena is now living in New York City as a writer for Netflix Original Series, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
